Atlantic Rose is more than just a fishing company; it’s a legacy of Irish fishing tradition that traces back six generations. Rooted in the rich history of Clogherhead and the Kirwan family, we harness the skills, knowledge, and intuition built over centuries to deliver the highest quality frozen prawns and white fish. Each catch from the deep waters of the wild Irish seas blast frozen on board the Atlantic Rose, is a testament to our commitment to excellence and quality.
Safety, strength and efficiency – these are the key features of a good fishing vessel, and of a good fisher. Over the years, the Kirwan’s have owned various boats, today we have the “MVF Rose of Sharon”, Michael Kirwan fathers’ boat, and the “Atlantic Rose MVF”. The Atlantic Rose is crewed by 7 to 10 members. We treat our crew like family, offer ongoing safety training programs, including first aid, and annual medical checks. We pride ourselves on a clean, efficient and productive vessel.
Our prawns are sustainably fished from the Labadie bank off the south coast of Ireland, and the Porcupine bank 200km off the west coast of Ireland, where we fish at a depth of 200 meters.
It is challenging yet rewarding fishing in these locations. Although it is harder, the Atlantic Rose fishes deeper, catching stronger prawns, with more intense colours – so it’s worth the effort.
Our prawns are finger laid, packed in a 3kg inner carton, then shipped in a 3x3kg master carton.
Atlantic Rose Prawns are exclusively supplied by our partner at Wild Irish Seafood.
